Registration for the online competition

  • If you register in advance, you’ll need a device with an internet connection. This can be a smartphone or a computer.

    To register on-site, you’ll need a smartphone with a camera. If you have an Apple smartphone, you can scan the QR code directly with the built-in camera. Samsung smartphones also allow you to scan QR codes with the built-in camera.

    Otherwise, there are various QR code scanning apps available in the Google Play Store that you can download for free.

  • Registration is required only to participate in the online contest. You can also take part in the Cycling Experience Day and ride all the recommended routes without registering.

  • You can register starting June 22 on the Lower Rhine Cycling Adventure Day website at https://www.niederrhein-tourismus.de/raderlebnistag-niederrhein. Alternatively, you can register on-site on July 6 at the information desk before answering the first puzzle question. We will publish the registration link on June 22 on our social media channels, on the Niederrhein Cycling Experience Day website, in our newsletter, and through the press.

  • 1a.   Scan the QR code at the information desk.

    2a.   Answer the puzzle question (you'll find a clue to the answer on site). You'll find out right away whether you answered the question correctly or incorrectly.

    3a.   Enter your email address.

    4a. If you're already registered:  After answering the puzzle question, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your successful participation.

    4b. If you haven't registered yet: You will be automatically redirected to the registration page. There, you will enter your information and, once you're done, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address.

     

    Important: Due to technical reasons, verifying your email address may take some time, but it is still possible up to one week after the Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day.

    1. Starting June 22, you can register on the Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day website.
    2. Enter your information and click the link in the email we sent you to confirm your email address.
    3. On July 5, you can start cycling right away. When you scan the QR code on site and enter your email address, the system will recognize that you’re already registered. So just answer the question and keep cycling.

    Important: Due to technical reasons, verifying your email address may take some time, but it is still possible up to one week after the Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day.

  • You only need to register once. If you have already registered—whether before the Cycling Experience Day or at the first information booth—all you need to do is answer the question and enter your email address.

Online Contest

  • To enter the contest for the 3rd Niederrhein Cycling Experience Day, you must scan the corresponding QR code at the information points in the participating towns during your tour and answer at least two quiz questions correctly. You’ll find a hint for the answer on site.

  • In addition to the online contest, we’ll be selecting the best photo from the Niederrhein Cycling Experience Day via our Instagram channel.

Fotowettbewerb

  • Tag our Instagram account @niederrheintourismus_ and use the hashtags #meinniederrheinmoment and #raderlebnistagniederrhein2026.

    You can only participate in the contest for the “Most Beautiful Photo of the 3rd Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day” if you have registered online in advance. We reserve the right to verify this.

  • The winning photo will be published on the Lower Rhine Cycling Experience Day website (www.raderlebnistag-niederrhein.de) and on our social media channels. We will also highlight the winning photo in a press release and in our newsletter.

Cycling route tips

  • Yes, the route suggestions can also be downloaded as a PDF document and printed. Select the route you want and click “PDF” below the photo gallery and the tour details. In the PDF document, you’ll also find information about the information points as well as the culinary and activity stops along the route. Due to technical limitations, points with similar addresses may appear to overlap on the map. Online, the points are displayed correctly.

  • You can download the track for each route in GPX or KML format from the Cycling Adventure Day website, upload it to your preferred navigation device or smartphone, and start cycling.

    To use the downloaded track, you’ll need an account with the app of your choice, such as Komoot or Outdooractive.

  • Yes, you can follow the route suggestions even without registering. Registration is only required for the contest.

Information Points

  • Information points are the locations along the routes where you can find the QR code for the puzzle question as well as a hint for that question. You can find all the information points on the Niederrhein Cycling Adventure Day page at www.raderlebnistag-niederrhein.de.
